training
While we are involved in an evangelistic ministry we are also involved in equipping others for the task.

It is not enough to tell the saints that they need to spread the gospel. They need to know why it is important. They need to know what to say. They need to know how to do it. They need tools to help them. We give instruction in the spiritual, biblical and practical areas of this most important task.

We have been giving this type of training since 1987 and it has become our speciality.

personal, team and church training
longer term training
We give training where there is interest and we try to meet the needs of as many as we can. We are prepared to give training on a personal level to individuals who have a great desire to serve the Lord in preaching the gospel. We also train teams who go out to evangelise either on special trips or for special events. We provide training for churches too. This is an opportunity to have the whole church involved in reaching out with the gospel and to see them grow spiritually.

This kind of training is often the result of successive workshops with follow-up training over a number of months. This is usually for the people who want to go and preach the gospel with the sketchboard on the streets. They come with us as we go out and receive on the job training and experience.
It is possible for those who have had significant training to become an OAC "Associate Evangelist" should they wish to.

short term training

oac evangelist training
Most often we give short term training to people. This usually takes the form of a workshop on a particular area of the work. Those who have a real interest often want more training which can then be arranged.

This training is specifically for those who want to become a full-time OAC "Staff Evangelist." This training takes at least a year but largely depends on the performance of the applicant in question. There is a requirement for theological training too. This is a position that requires high standards and so, much effort has to go into the training. Some of the training may occur abroad.
