challenge
We can be much more than we are. The church in the West is largely passive and fearful. The Christians from persecuted countries often say that we are spiritually poor and needy.
We have invented ways of making ourselves feel comfortable in our passivity and deny our fear. But God is not impressed! God is not passive and fearful. He wants to challenge us to a passionate walk with Him. A walk that will bring us back to His Word. A walk that will bring us forward in His power and His fearlessness. With great courage and power we will shout aloud the truth of His Word to a lost and dying world.
Are you ready to give up everything, live for Jesus and tell the world all about Him?

why change?   why live?   why evangelise?
Why would we want to change? Things are working alright as they are. We are not being persecuted. People are coming to church here and there.
But God calls us to change and become like Him. Have we already arrived? Are we already perfect? Is everything we do correct? Of course not. But why do we resist change so much? The real reason is that we are comfortable with what we know. God challenges us to go with Him to places we don't know. That takes faith in God and in His Word. Are you ready to change?
He died for me so that I can have a good time? Well, that seems to be what many believers think.
The question really should be: Am I living for Jesus and obeying His Word? If we are not then we do not love him - Jn 14:21.
This is an area where we all need to change. What is our love for Jesus like? Where does He come in my life? Is He in the driving seat or is He in the back out of sight somewhere? When we love Him and are excited about Him nothing will stop us.
He gave His life your you. Are you willing to give your life for Him?

When the subject of evangelism comes up many get upset due to a feeling of guilt. They feel guilty usually because they are guilty.
Guilt is motivation for repentance. It is not motivation for evangelism. God's love is the real motivation for evangelism. If we go out to reach the lost, motivated by guilt, we will not last the course. We will probably also have the wrong attitude as we are going purely to aliviate ourselves of our sense of guilt. Only Jesus takes our guilt away. Only His love will compell us to preach His Word. Will you go?
